Windows Live Messenger Voice Clip Problem?

when i try to send a voice clip it says 'Your Voice Clip was not sent because no sound was detected in the recording'.

I don't have a microphone... how do i configure it to record sound from my computer??

Well this is impossible to do without a mic, so you must have a mic input located somewhere about your PC/Laptop. Sometimes a mic can be built into a monitor, integrated with the webcam or in the body of the laptop. But you need to make sure you know where it is. Although nowadays there are plenty of cheap mics you pickup from most large stores who have an electricals department.

Once thats done, you should be able to run the 'Audio and video setup' wizard in Windows Live Messenger. Just click the menu button (usually that small down-arrow next to the minimize), go to 'Tools' and select 'Audio and video setup'. It will walk you through the process of setting up either video AND audio or one or the other.

It can only be done with a mic from a pc.

You say it used to work so have you a webcam?. I t may have a mic built in.

If that is the case you must configure the mic via control panel.

If you have a laptop they have a mic built in also.
