Windows Live Messenger, need some help?

Basically downloaded 8.5 (updated from 8.1) but don't like it at all. Can someone guide me on how to get back to 8.1. ive tried installing over it but it says Ill have to delte MSN 8.1 first, will this make me lose my contacts?

I don't think so. If they were there when you updated then they should be there when you uninstall. Or when you go to uninstall they will give you that option. Don't quote me on that though.

no it wont make you lose your contact as long as you dont delete the account theat is in your name. You can still delete the program.
shouldnt do because they are on your hotmail memory.

Go to Contacts--%26gt;Save Instant Messaging Contacts. Then just re-install Windows Live 8.1. Then Contacts--%26gt;Import Instant Messaging Contacts.
nope it won'tmake you lose your contacts..

to uninstal it properly you have to go to my computer and click on add/remove programs. (Left hand side for XP, undernieth address bar for Vista)

then find the program and click uninstal. then just redownload it to re-instal

but before installing again it may be best to restart you computer.

but in words for your contacts, they will be fine. unless you delete them yourself ofcourse! :)
