I'm not sure how to really explain what i'm trying to solve but here goes.
My friend is trying to send me a very large file about 4.5 GB but my computer does not have that much memory fortuantly we have a hardrive attached to the computer which has a lot of memory. I would like to save the file on to that but i can't work out how to do so. When i press accept it just starts the transfer and trys to save it to the computer! I've tried right clicking and everything!
HELP!

(I'm not sure if you already read the comment I just posted but I hope you didn't.)
To change the place where recieved files are sent open mesenger and go to Tools -%26gt; Options -%26gt; File Transfer then where it says 'save files in this folder:' change it to your other harddrive

Can you drag and drop it into wherever you want to save it?
Last time I checked
there was three options.
Save
Save As
Reject/Cancel
choose the second one
although personally I would not use msn to transfer it, if one of you drop out you'd have to start again.
In windows live choose tools-options-file options-then select save received files in this folder click where it says change and locate the drive you want to save the file to and click it and its done. the next time you download a shared file it will download to that folder/drive. you should have no problems after that.
Go into the options in Live Messenger (where you can change your display name) and click on the File Transfer tab on the left. From this tab click on the "Change" button next to the "Save received files in this folder option" and select where you want to save the file.
